Description:
Supplier Quality Engineer at the Opelika, Alabama location.
Position summary:
Develop and manage the Supplier Quality Process. This position is the focal point of quality interface between company and all Suppliers, including material and sub-contract manufacturing suppliers.
Specific assignments include but are not limited to:
Carry out company Supplier Quality process
Suppliers qualification
Materials and products qualification
Participate in new product launch process to ID suppliers potential issues and resolution.
Suppliers assessment and audits
Hands-on support at suppliers factory in during pilot and qualification builds.
Manage suppliers product quality
Supplier Corrective Action Request
Support Suppliers in developing world-class quality systems and tools
Qualifications:
BS in Engineering or related position
Min three years of background in Supplier Quality role in an automotive manufacturing environment
Strong leadership and team skills
Bi-lingual a plus
