Master stylist seeking a personal assistant that will help answer the phones, schedule appointments, control inventory, assist in salon services, and marketing endeavors. This position is ideal for someone interested in hair, fashion, or make-up, needing extra income, content with 15-25 working hours, and local to the central Austin area.

Daily duties: answering the phones, scheduling & confirming appointments, laundry (towels & smocks), sterilization of appliances/implements, handling cash/credit transactions, taking out the trash, sweeping and preparing station areas, greeting & serving customers, monitoring email & social media.

Weekly duties: dusting/cleaning shelves, organizing & ordering inventory, payroll, bank deposits.

Monthly duties: promoting specials on services & products, sales tax & payroll tax preparation, bill pay.

Required skills: excellent customer service, attention to detail, multi-tasking abilities, organized, friendly, on time, and flexible with schedule.

Preferred qualities: cosmetology/college student, outgoing/social, fashionable, computer savvy, Facebook & Twitter friendly.

Training will be provided, but some experience in administrative/office duties is preferred. Position will not require all the above listed duties right away. They will be assigned based on performance and once trained.

Compensation is negotiable and dependent on experience. Great performance will be rewarded with raises. Extra perks of the job include attending special events, free hair color/cut maintenance and incredible discounts on salon products.
